Getting The Egyptian citizenship through a bank deposit

The recent modifications about getting the Egyptian citizenship by bank deposit (7 000 000 LE)

The Egyptian minister of interior may grant the Egyptian citizenship by his award to the foreigner who:

• Had a consecutive five years residence in Egypt before making request to obtain the citizenship,
• Will make a bank deposit regarding to that request (the amount is 380,000$)
• Has to be with compos mentis , income from work and his Criminal record certificate  must be clear,
• In case that he will obtain the Egyptian citizenship the deposit will go to the public purse.
• About the public law’s right as balloting and candidature will get it after five yeas regarding to the article no 9 from law 26 in 1975.
